Asphyxiation risk
Sudden releases of CO₂ or N₂ are extremely hazardous without extraction or ventilation. Gas that displaces the air can cause asphyxiation. A nitrogen to oxygen ratio is hazardous at 84 to 16%, and CO₂ is hazardous above 0.5% of breathable air.
Fit CO₂ alarms
CO₂ alarms should be fitted in every facility. When using CO₂ in enclosed areas, always make sure it can escape through properly installed vents and extraction.
Use the right relief valves
BrewWizz products are not pressure rated: they are classed as associated apparatus. Only connect them to brite or carbonation tanks fitted with 15 psi (under 1 bar) pressure relief valves.
Do not purge unattended overnight
The PacWizz is automated, but purging uses a large amount of CO₂ or N₂. Do not leave it purging tanks overnight.
Loud when venting
Venting reaches up to 100 dBA and the sudden release can startle. Ear protection is recommended when working close to the PacWizz.
Indoor use, rated conditions
Indoor use only, up to 2000 m altitude and 5 °C to 40 °C. Servicing should be done by the manufacturer or with help from a BrewWizz representative.
